Event security

Security planning and staffing for corporate, political and social events.

Security officers at the crowd barrier of an evening event

Security planned around your event, whether corporate, political or social: access to the venue, protection of guests and property, and a plan for incidents. A well-run event feels relaxed to guests because the security work was done before they arrived.

The plan starts from the venue, the expected attendance and the timing, and sets out the personnel required and where each is posted, from the gate to the stage.

What it includes

  • A security plan for the venue, the attendance and the timing
  • Access control and ticket or accreditation checks at the entrances
  • Searches of the venue, and of bags where required
  • Protection for guests, speakers and VIPs
  • Officers at exits, car parks and back-of-house areas
  • A plan for incidents and evacuation, agreed with the venue

How it works

  1. We visit the venue and agree the event’s needs with you.
  2. We set out the plan: posts, numbers, timings and who leads on the day.
  3. Officers are briefed on the event, the layout and the plan.
  4. On the day a supervisor leads the team, and we review the event with you afterwards.

Questions clients ask

How early should we ask?

As early as you can. The venue visit and the plan take time, and the right officers need to be booked, so tell us the date as soon as you know it.

Can you work with the venue’s own security?

Yes. We agree roles with the venue’s team before the day, so each side knows who covers what.
